CommPlus Internet Services - What's New?

This is where we'll announce the most recent changes to our web site. If you visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

20 Oct 01 - During the normal operations window on Oct 20, 2001
WorldCom will be performing the scheduled maintenance activities.

This activity is scheduled to take place from 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
(local hub time) in the contiguous US and elsewhere from 3:00 a.m. to
7:00 a.m. (local hub time) and may affect our connectivity.

26 3pm-29 May 00 - We will be closed during the Memorial Day weekend.

22 May 00 5:11pm - Update: Looks like all circuits and services are restored. No official word from GTE.

22 May 00 2:15pm - Update: GTE has informed us that a major cable was cut in the 920 and 715 area codes. This cut has affected 14 cities they are working on the problem. GTE does not know when service will be restored. Please check this page for further updates.

22 May 00 10:00am - Our connection to the Internet is down. This outage is caused by a circuit outage at GTE. They are working on the problem. This outage will affect all Internet sites and e-mail. Sorry for the inconvenience.

1 May 00 - CommPlus is now accepting credit or debit card payment options. Please give us a call Mon - Fri 9am to 6pm to set this up. Note: NONE of the transactions are placed over the Internet!

26 Jan 00 - We added additional modems to the service, if you continue to get busy signals e-mail me.

4 Jan 00 - A service request have been submitted to GTE for the installation of additional lines. The scheduled installation date is 28 Jan 00.

21 Oct 99 - We added additional modems to the service.

12 Oct 99 - You may experience temporary service interruptions today while we do some minor server maintenance. Click here for the changes you may need to make on your system.

23 March 99 - The upgrade of the CommPlus servers is complete. Sorry for the inconvenience during the downtime.

19 January 99 - The installation of the additional modems is complete.

30 June 1998 - CommPlus doubles dial-up line capacity!

1 May 1998 - The installation of the V.90 modem service is complete! If you have any problems, please contact us.

13 March 1998 - The installation for K56Flex service is complete! If you have any problems, please contact us.
